LIGHT & SPACE
光と空間
Warm lighting, layered textures, and intimate spacing create a room designed for presence, comfort, and conversation.

Hidden within Kyoto's historic streets, ENOVA is a private nihonshu salon, where guests can discover the depth and culture behind what is commonly known as sake.
Guests are invited to experience Kyoto at their own pace — whether exploring new cultural insights, enjoying good conversation, or simply unwinding in the atmosphere of Gion.
Inspired by the Japanese word ‘En’ (縁) — a concept representing connection, relationships, and meaningful encounters.
A reflection of new light, energy, and possibility.
ENOVA combines the ideas of EN (縁) and NOVA, creating a modern interpretation of ‘En no ba’ (縁の場) — a place where connection, culture, and new experiences come together.

Alexander Seiji
Originally from London and now based in Kyoto, Alexander Seiji created ENOVA from a desire to bridge the cultures that have shaped his life. Drawing on both his British and Japanese heritage, he has created a space that feels welcoming, familiar, and distinctly Kyoto.
The best hospitality is the kind that lets the room speak first.

おもてなし
Inspired by Japanese hospitality, ENOVA values attentiveness, discretion, and the natural flow of the evening.
文化とつながり
Every evening is shaped by the people within it. Through conversation, shared experiences, and cultural exchange, each gathering develops its own atmosphere and character.
The beauty of not showing everything.
全てを見せない、という美学。
灯ひとつ。器ひとつ。声ひとつ。夜は、見せない部分にこそ宿る。
One flame, one cup, one voice.
The night lives in what remains unseen.

At ENOVA, sake serves as a gateway into Japanese culture, hospitality, and conversation.

Each evening begins with a guided tasting featuring three carefully selected styles: a lighter fruity sake, a richer umami-forward sake, and a seasonal recommendation that reflects the time of year.

Alongside sake, ENOVA offers a curated selection of wine, champagne, whisky, beer, and non-alcoholic options.

Optional sushi platters and seasonal dishes from select Kyoto restaurants are available to complement the evening.
