Set within Kyoto's historic Gion district, ENOVA is a private sake lounge where guests are invited to discover the diversity, craftsmanship, and culture of Japanese sake, known as nihonshu, through thoughtfully curated selections and guided tastings.
Inspired by the Japanese word ‘En’ (縁) — a concept representing connection, relationships, and meaningful encounters.
A reflection of new light, energy, and possibility.
ENOVA combines the ideas of EN (縁) and NOVA, creating a modern interpretation of ‘En no ba’ (縁の場) — a place where connection, culture, and new experiences come together.

Following the Discovery Experience, guests are invited to explore our evening sake collection by the glass or bottle.
Sake by the glass from ¥2,500.
Selected bottles and rare cellar selections are also available.

Originally from London and having called Kyoto home for over a decade, Alexander Seiji founded ENOVA to bring together the cultures that have shaped his life. Drawing on his British and Japanese heritage, he has created an intimate space where Japanese sake, hospitality, and meaningful connections come together.

Private hire is also available for small groups, celebrations, business entertainment, and special occasions.
